History of the Railroad In Bridgton, Maine

Bridgton & Saco River Railroad (1881-1927)

The beginning and formative years of the railroad, it's ownership under the Maine Central (MEC), and reorganization into the B&H.

The period of reorganization from the Bridgton & Saco River R.R. to the Bridgton & Harrison Railway, the Great Depression and the end of railroad operations in Bridgton.

The original Bridgton railroad equipment that lived on at the Edaville Railroad in Massachusetts and eventually returned to Maine.
